Data Scientist ( Temporary Role )

Work Location: Berlin or Amsterdam 
 
Are you a skilled Python and SQL user with a strong analytical background and experience in crafting top-shelf prediction models? You are passionate about uncovering insights within data and applying them to real-world financial challenges? Then you might just be the Data Scientist we're looking for! 


Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be:
 

  • Manage the end-to-end process of data-driven knowledge gathering (connect, mine, simulate, predict, illustrate, and deploy) 

  • Create data-based solutions to address complex business challenges 

  • Translate business needs into hypotheses, leading to advanced analytical projects, and conduct ad hoc analyses to address specific business questions 

  • Design, train, deploy and monitor predictive algorithms 

  • Development of data-driven business case models 

  • Develop and run simulation-based scenarios to quantify revenue and business impact under different assumptions 

  • Proactively communicate and share your conclusions, as well as explain complex topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders 
     
     

What We're Looking For:
 

  • Solid analytical skills in structured and unstructured data (you're a natural problem solver) 

  • Someone who is available for 4-6 months
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL (you can write advanced queries with ease) 

  • A self-driven and proactive attitude 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (you can explain complex ideas in simple terms) 

  • Focus on quality (you strive for excellence in everything you do) 

  • Knowledge of financial markets & financial products (options, futures, etc.) 

  • Experience with pricing or revenue simulations is a strong advantage
