As Team Lead Client Governance & Control you own one of LYNX’s most critical operational governance domains.

You are accountable for the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of the frameworks that protect and enhance the client experience. Your focus is to ensure that client related documentation and policies are accurate.

You approach governance as a business enabler, not as a purely legal exercise.

Your mission is to strengthen and scale the governance and control framework across client-facing processes, while building a high-performing team that drives quality, automation, and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Tax Statement Ownership: Decide in which markets tax statements are offered as a client service, balancing client value, operational feasibility, and business impact.
  • Tax Reporting Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely delivery of client tax statements and oversee mandatory tax reporting processes.
  • Tax Logic Governance: Own the correctness and maintenance of tax calculation algorithms and ensure timely updates following regulatory or fiscal changes.
  • Fiscal Expertise Management: Proactively engage with internal and external fiscal experts to anticipate changes and translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Control Framework Design: Design, implement, and continuously improve first line controls for high-risk client processes (e.g. best execution, tax reconciliation, product governance).
  • Automation & Efficiency: Drive automation and efficiency improvements in governance and control processes to improve scalability and reduce operational risk.
  • Policy & Documentation Ownership: Ensure all client domain policies and agreements are clear, up to date, legally compliant, and aligned with actual business processes.
  • Complaint & Estate Oversight: Safeguard the quality and timeliness of official client complaint handling and estate case processing.
  • People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the Client Governance & Control team, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a key business partner to Client Services, Product, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.

Who you are

You are a strategic and structured leader with a strong business mindset who understands that governance and control should enable the business while safeguarding quality and compliance.

  • You have 7+ years of experience in financial services, brokerage, or a comparable client-focused environment
  • You have proven leadership experience managing specialists in operational, control, or governance-related functions
  • You have strong analytical skills and experience overseeing financial calculations, reconciliations, or reporting logic
  • You combine client focus, operational pragmatism, and regulatory awareness in decision-making
  • You are structured, decisive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-market environment
  • You build strong stakeholder relationships and influence across departments
  • You drive continuous improvement and challenge the status quo

Nice to have

  • Experience within an online broker or investment firm operating across multiple European markets
  • Experience improving or automating control frameworks or reporting processes
  • Familiarity with cross-border retail investor tax environments
  • Experience working closely with Compliance and Legal while maintaining business ownership

What do we offer

  • A competitive salary based on experience
  • Flexible working hours in the heart of Amsterdam
  • A fixed 13th-month salary
